جشن تیرگان |
"Mehr Niyāyesh" (a prayer dedicated to Guardian Mehr) is a
special prayer found in the Avestā. Avestā means, Dānesh va
Āgāhi (Knowledge and Awareness). This unique prayer
begins like this: "Mass-o-Vah-o Piruzgar bād Meinu-ye
Mehr-e Iran, dāvar-e hezār gush, beivar-e chesh, rāst
rāst-e dāvar, tizh tizh-e dāvar." The translation:
Great and glorious helper (vah) and victorious be the
Guardian Mehr of Iran, who listens with 1000 ears and sees
with 10,000 eyes and is a true and honest judge who is very
sharp and very smart." In other words, no one can fool Mehr.
If you want Mehr to be your friend, then be honest and keep
your promises. |
