Mehregān celebrations begin. |
روز مهر و ماه مهر روز جشن مهرگان |

It is a joyous occasion! A time to be merry! |
روز شادی و سرور
خنده می‌کند زمان |
Mehrgān is the Day of Promise, Justice and Kindness.
Pour wine into the goblet. |
روز عهد و داد و مهر
می به جام ارغوان |

with snakes growing out of his shoulders, is in chains now! |

Mehr, the helper of warriors, |

pure light shining in the sky. |
