Sometimes, I had to tell the children my own made-up tales
and poems or the ones I'd heard from the village mothers to
keep them amused while waiting for the medicine to take
effect. |
گاهی مجبور می‌شدم با گفتن قصّه‌ها
و شعرهایی که
از خودم می‌ساختم و یا از مادران روستایی می‌شنیدم سر بچّه‌ها
را گرم کنم تا دارو اثر کند. |

Here you see me having grown up to be an employee in the Ministry of Public Health and
the author of books for children and adolescents.
It all started back then. |
اینکه می‌بینید در بزرگسالی کارمند وزارت بهداشت و درمان شدم
و قصّه‌نویس کودکان و نوجوانان از
همانجا شروع شد. |

Ever since then I was fascinated by fairy tales, local poems,
villagers’ customs and traditions. |
از همان وقت شیفتهٔ افسانه‌ها، شعرهای محلی،
آداب و رسوم مردم
روستا شدم. |
|
I felt the suffering and bitterness of the children right
down to my flesh and skin and these forever became the seed
and source material of my stories. |
رنج و تلخی زندگی بچه‌ها را با گوشت و پوستم حس کردم و اینها
دست مایهٔ اصلی و همیشگی داستان‌های من شد. |
