کیا شیر به من دادن؟ یادتون میآد؟

unā khorden. |

بودن. ای قد شیر از اینا اونا

So much you drank milk from these ones and those ones. |

Okay, they were also 2 or 3... Those were three of them
and there were also two or three who nursed. These
make four of them. |

شاید به پونزده نفر هم رسیده باشه. |
It may come to fifteen people. |
ya`ni punzdah nafar be man shir dādan? |
یعنی پونزده نفر به من شیر دادن؟ |

tuye har kuche chand tā mādar dāshtam.
mādarhā ke lab-e rudkhāne yā sar-e cheshme jam` mishodand,
tā cheshmeshān be man mioftād, harfhā-o gereftārihā-o gele-o
qessehāye khodeshān rā vel mikardand va az vaz'-o hāl-o
gozashte-ye man barāye man harf mizadand.

توی هر کوچه چند تا مادر داشتم. مادرها
که لب رودخانه یا سر چشمه جمع میشدند، تا چشمشان به من
میافتاد، حرفها و گرفتاریها و گله و قصهٔ خودشان را ول
میکردند و از وضع و حال و گذشتهٔ من برای من حرف
میزدند. |
In every street, I had a few mothers. Mothers who, at
the riverside or at the spring would get together, as soon
as their glance fell on me, they'd drop their talk and
problems and complaints and stories and talk to me about
myself and what had happened to me. |
