from" with "khod-dāri" is a very common way of avoiding the
rather harsh negative imperative, "don't!") |

تا کمتر مورد اذیّت و آزار مردان چشم
ناپاک قرار گیرید. |
so that you be subject to less teasing and botheration by
men of unclean eye. (The slash/dot after the word girid was
originally a way calligraphers would blot their ink and
appeared at the beginning of the sentence, now it survives
mainly as ornamentation. See it as the logo for the
Dāneshgāh-e Honar in
Tehran.) |
