Ay Irān, ay marz-e por-gohar
Ay khāk-at sarcheshme-ye honar |
ای ایران ای مرزِ پُر گهر
ای خاکت سرچشمهٔ هنر
|
Oh Iran, oh land (marz-o bum, territory) full of jewels
Oh, your soil is the source (sar chashme) of art/virtue |
Dur az to andishe-ye badān
Pāyande māni to jāvedān |
دور از تو اندیشه‌ٔ بدان
پاینده مانی تو جاودان
|
May the thoughts of evil people be far away from you
May you remain enduring for ever |
Ay doshman ar to sang-e khāre-i man
āhanam
Jān-e man fadā-ye khāk-e pāk-e mihanam |
ای دشمن ار تو سنگِ خاره‌‌ای من آهنم
جان من فدای خاک پاک میهنم
|
Oh Enemy, if (ar = agar) you are granite, I'm iron
May my life/soul be sacrificed to the pure soil of the
Homeland |

Dur az to nist andishe-am |
مهر تو چون شد پیشه‌ام
دور از تو نیست اندیشه‌ام

Since loving you has become my profession

Dar rāh-e to, kay arzeshi dārad in jān-e
mā
Pāyande bād khāk-e Irān-e mā |
در راه تو کی ارزشی دارد این جان ما
پاینده باد خاک ایران ما

For your sake, my life has no value
May the soil of our Iran endure |
Sang-e kuh-at dorr-o gohar ast
Khāk-e dasht-at behtar az zar ast |
سنگ کوهت دُر و گوهر است
خاک دشتت بهتر از زر است

The rock of your mountains is pearl and jewel
The soil of your plain is better than gold |
Mehr-at az del kay borun konam
Bar-gu bi mehr-e to chun konam |
مهرت از دل کی برون کنم
بر گو بی مهر تو چون کنم
|
Never I would banish your love from my heart
Tell me, without your love, how would I go on? |
Tā gardesh-e jahān-o dor-e āsemān
bepāst
Nur-e izadi hamishe rahnamā-ye māst |
تا گردش جهان و دَور آسمان بپاست
نور ایزدی همیشه رهنمای ماست |
As long as the revolving of the world and the cycle of the
sky endure
The light of God always remains our guide |

گر آتش بارد به پیکرم
