All patterns on this page should be read from left to right.
A short syllable is designated by ˘
A long syllable is designated by ˉ
     
Robāi      
  There are three main feet, with the basic foot: ˉ ˉ ˘ ˘          
ˉ
  The central foot may vary from half-line to half-line in the same robāi.
It is symmetrically framed by the other two "steady" feet.
As elsewhere, one long for two shorts is an option.
