Jomelāt-e Sababi  -  Some Sentences with and without the Causative  -ān (written) and -un (spoken)
1 Yesterday in Austin a house burned down in a fire. دیروز در آستین خانه‌ای در آتش سوخت.
2 When I was cooking last night, I burned the food. دیشب غذا رو که می‌پختم سوزوندم.
49 The (particular) food I was cooking last night, I burned. دیشب غذایی رو که می‌پختم سوزوندم.
3 Tomorrow morning I'll wait for you in front of the Co-op. فردا صبح منتظر شما جلو کو آپ می‌ایستم.
4 The children are standing on the chairs. بچّه‌ها روی صندلی‌ها ایستاده‌اند.
5 The children stopped by the drinking fountain and drank a little water. بچّه‌ها نزدیک شیر آب ایستادند و کمی آب خوردند.
6 Stop! I have business with you! وایستا (وایسا) (واسّا) من کارت دارم!
7 I stood the child there and took his picture. بچّه را آنجا ایستاداندم و عکسش را گرفتم.
8 I sat on my father's lap for hours. ساعت‌ها روی زانوی پدرم نشستم.
9 My father himself sat me down on his knees. پدرم خودش مرا روی زانوهایش نشاند.
10 The officers of the Fire Department immediately put out the fire. مأمورین آتش‌نشانی فوراً آتش را خاموش کردند.
11 The goldsmith set precious stones in the handle of the king's sword. زرگر سنگ‌های قیمتی را در دستهٔ شمشیر شاه نشاند.
12 The cat is asleep on the sofa. گربه روی مبْل خوابیده است.
13 I laid my doll down to sleep next to her. من عروسکم را کنار او خواباندم.
14 He planted a firm slap on his face. سیلی محکمی روی صورت او خواباند.
15 He returned home. او به خانه بر گشت.
16 My father returned him home. پدرم او را به خانه بر گرداند.
17 The planets revolve around the sun. سیارات دور خورشید می‌گردند.
18 He turned his head around towards the sound. او سرش را به طرف صدا ‌گرداند.
19 I returned the book to the library. کتاب رو به کتابخونه برگردوندم.
20 Today we're having stew for lunch. امروز ناهار آب‌گوشت می‌خوریم.
21 The mother forcibly gave the children the medicine. مادر دوا رو به زور به بچّه خوروند.
22 It wasn't the real spare part but I made it match. این قطعه وسیله‌ای یدکی اصلی نبود.  امّا اونو به موتور خوروندم.
23 One must wear warm clothing in cold weather. توی هوای سرد باید لباس گرم پوشید.
24 Mother dressed the child. مادر لباس رو به تن بچّه پوشاند.
25 In the North, they cover the roofs of houses with thatch. در شمال سقف خانه‌ها را با پوشال می‌پوشانند.
26 She put on her clothes. او لباسش را پوشيد.
27 His brothers put his clothes on him. برادرانش لباسش را به او پوشاندند.
28 In another minute we'll reach the summit. یه دقیقهٔ دیگه به قلّه می‌رسیم.
29 I delivered your message to Reza. پیغامت رو به رضا رسوندم.
30 I passed up the deal.  I said no to this deal! از خیر این معامله گذشتم.
31 I spent last summer in Austin. تابستون گذشته رو در آستین گذروندم.
32 Ali broke the window pane. علی شیشه رو شکست.
33 The window pane broke. شیشه شکست.
34 Ali broke the window pane. علی شیشه رو شکوند.
35 Hasan was running in the schoolyard. حسن در حیاطِ مدرسه می‌دوید.
36 Hasan was made to run by the coach. حسن به وسیلهٔ مربّی دوانده شد.
37 The mulberry tree has put out runners all over the courtyard. درخت توت در سراسر حیاط ریشه دوانده است.
38 Nawruz vacation passed nicely for all of us. تعطیلات نوروز به همهٔ ما خوش گذشت.
39 We put all our stuff in the car and set off. تمام اسباب و اثاثیه‌‌مان را توی ماشین گذاشتیم و به راه افتادیم.
40 We passed the Nawruz holidays very nicely at the seaside. تعطیلات نوروز را  دریاکنار خیلی خوش گذراندیم.
41 I don't understand what you're saying at all. من حرف‌تونو اصلاً نمی‌فهمم.
42 Make him understand that I'm serious! بهش بفهمون که من جدّی می‌گم!
43 Draw the curtains down! پرده‌هارو بکش پائین!

48 My little girl is making her paper dolls dance on the table. دختر کوچک من عروسک‌های کاغذی را روی میز می‌رقصاند.
